Simplicity. Catching the right amount of visual appeal to make something beautiful without over embellishing. Quality. Having the highest expectations for the outcome of a work. Through the use of both aspects I strive to capture the pure beauty of nature through my artwork. In ceramics the vessel symbolizes the means in which to accomplish this. With the use of white glazes, raw clay body, and minimalist style the simplistic nature of the vessel creates a strikingly beautiful background while the contents take center stage in an aesthetic rendition of form following function.
